  Why is that documentation not linked here, the root site for Glotpress? I find this site a bit off-putting, considering that this should e the home are for all things i18n and WordPress, no?

    Not really. This site is meant for the discussion around the development of an open-source project, GlotPress. It has only marginally to do with i18n issues. The proper place to discuss i18n (rather than GlotPress itself) is on the Polygots’ site.
